Starts at £59,229 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £66,852 per annum

The above salary is based on a full time (37 hour) salary. If you are successful in a part time role this will be pro-rata'd to reflect your working hours.

Please note: Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same grade.

The principal responsibility of the role is to quality assure issues of legality, integrity, ethical conduct and standards of all covert law enforcement techniques and covert tactics utilised, including an oversight of significant overt and sensitive operations.

The successful candidate will provide expert advice in risk identification and management, fostering and managing relationships both internally and externally.

The post holder works on behalf of, and is directly  accountable to, the Chief Constable, with line reporting to the Director of Legal Services as a senior and experienced, independent, expert advisor.

You will implement and maintain consistency in standards of security and practise in accordance with legislation, national guidelines, and local policy.
