A Static-Worker has little or no opportunity to work remotely as they need to carry out their work at a specific force premises, this could be for a number of reasons including the location of equipment. 
This role will require the post holder to travel to alternative locations on an ad hoc basis to undertake the role, travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with force policy.

Starts at £23,556 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £24,462 per annum

The above salary is based on a full time (37 hour) salary. If you are successful in a part time role this will be pro-rata'd to reflect your working hours.

Please note: Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same grade.

Reporting to the Head of Identification and Analytical Services you will provide high quality, wide ranging administrative support to the Regional Forensic Service personnel. 

In particular to: 

  • To undertake general administrative duties for the Regional Forensic Service.
  • To provide a high quality reception service when required
  • To maintain departmental records and compile data returns in accordance with policy.
  • To undertake data inputting and scanning onto computer based systems.
  • To carry out basic searches on relevant computer based systems.

Please note, there are two posts but with different hours and days.

29.6 hours (4 days) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

22.2 hours (3 days) Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

The selection process will include a number of work related tests, including a typing test, alongside a formal interview.
