A Static-Worker has little or no opportunity to work remotely as they need to carry out their work at a specific force premises, this could be for a number of reasons including the location of equipment.

Starts at £24,921 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £27,351 per annum

The above salary is based on a full time (37 hour) salary. If you are successful in a part time role this will be pro-rata'd to reflect your working hours.

Please note: Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same grade.

Resource Deployment Officers provide a vital link between members of the public and operational Police Officers, whilst making a key contribution to the lives of those across Devon and Cornwall when they are most in need.

You will work closely with our Police Officers, deploying them to both routine and emergency incidents via police radio channels whilst prioritising the vulnerable, assessing risk and responding appropriately according to needs.

The role will also require you to assist in taking 999 calls and calls from other agencies such as the ambulance service.

This is a unique job for a unique person which demands excellent communication skills, good attention to detail and a positive attitude. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a close knit, supportive team, as well as make decisions in situations which may at times be distressing. The ability to listen effectively, multi-task and type information accurately is essential.

Although it is not essential, we would really welcome experience of those already working in a similar role within the emergency services.

Salary Including the 20% shift allowance the salary starts at £25,362 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £28,087.20 per annum

This post also attracts a weekend working allowance (which is claimable) This accumulates to approximately an additional £2000 per year (pro rata for part time working).
