The above salary is based on a full time (37 hour) salary. If you are successful in a part time role this will be pro-rata'd to reflect your working hours.

Please note: Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same grade.

These vacancies are for an intake date of 26th June 2023, plus a suitability pool for any future recruitment.

Earn up to £32,923 per annum. Commencing salary is Scale D £26,334 to £28,902 Per Annum inclusive of 14% shift pay when proficient in the role you will move to the full shift pattern and receive Scale D £27,720 to £30,423 per annum inclusive 20% shift pay PLUS potential to earn up to £2500 in weekend allowance

Acting as the front line of policing as one of our ­Non-Emergency Contact Officers you will be responsible for receiving non-emergency calls, emails and online contact from members of the public. Your role will be ensuring the most appropriate help and support is established, ensuring you handle every call with empathy, whilst remaining calm when dealing with potentially sensitive and upsetting calls.

The focus of the Dorset Contact Management is on making every contact count by ‘getting it right first time’ and ensuring an efficient and effective customer journey as well as seeking to address the maximum number of service calls at the first point of contact within a 24 hour capability.
