Policing in the UK faces a series of challenges as it seeks to modernise, become more efficient, and make the most of technology and innovation to respond to modern and future demands. As an integral part of policing, forensic science is facing these challenges too. This approach is the Forensic Capability Network (FCN).
The CEO will play a vital role in setting the strategic direction of the FCN and will collaborate and influence at executive levels within Policing, with senior officials across Government and strategic leaders within industry and academia.
The CEO will be accountable to the FCN Executive Management Board (EMB), comprised of senior police chiefs, police and crime commissioners, government officials and practitioners. Developing and approving strategies to meet customer, stakeholder and employee needs and the effective running of the FCN’s service delivery, marketing, communications, finances and logistics.
