The above salary is based on a full time (37 hour) salary. If you are successful in a part time role this will be pro-rata'd to reflect your working hours.

The role provides information, advice and support to members of the OPCC in relation to governance matters and adherence to relevant legislation. The post holder will be responsible for the management of a number of OPCC meetings, and carry out day-to-day office management tasks, and contribute to the assessment, triage and response to incoming correspondence.

To be responsible for the timely publication and review of information on the OPCC website required under relevant legislation and guidance.

Manage the designated Principal’s diary commitments to ensure that the daily schedule of work is planned and co-ordinated effectively. 

To manage incoming telephone calls, correspondence and emails addressed to the Police and Crime Commissioner, deciding on the most appropriate manner by which it should be dealt with and ensuring a professional and timely service is maintained at all times.

To support OPCC led processes, events, meetings or conferences, including co-ordinating follow up action required.  Prepare and draft briefings, guidance and communication briefs, as well as more complex and bespoke documentation.
