Policing in the UK faces a series of challenges as it seeks to modernise, become more efficient, and make the most of technology and innovation to respond to modern and future demands. As an integral part of policing, forensic science is facing these challenges too. The TF programme is designed to support forensic science to turn this challenge into an opportunity.
At the heart of the TF programme is a desire to work together nationally to deliver high quality, specialist forensic capabilities by networking existing services to share knowledge and improve resilience, efficiency, quality and effectiveness. This approach is the Forensic Capability Network (FCN).
The purpose of this role is to work within the FCN commercial function and provide procurement support to the FCN and wider TF programme. This will involve undertaking tenders and other purchasing activities that the FCN will be responsible for, either for itself or on behalf of Forces. Part of the role will include preparing reports and papers needed for the sign off of tenders/contracts by the FCN governance as well as by the Dorset Police & Crime Commissioner’s office, evidencing and confirming compliance with the Force procedures.
Previous applicants need not apply.
