THE ROLE

A joint NPCC, College of Policing and Home Office team is being established to support the national implementation of Operation Soteria working within the VAWG portfolio of programmes.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the centre of change to improve policing’s response to violence against women and girls.

We are seeking applications from individuals who are experienced in policing structure, policy and procedures particularly in relation to VAWG (especially RASSO). An individual who is able to work under pressure, managing a range of activities, working independently and as part of a team with confidence to manage a range of stakeholders.  You will have awareness and experience of working with, liaising with and influencing others both within and outside the police service, as well as external stakeholders.

The successful candidate would need to have the following experiences and skills:

  • The ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective programme delivery and represent Operation Soteria.
  • Management of a project through its life cycle – planning, governance, reporting, benefits, resourcing, and finance.
  • Project Management training – essential. Project Management qualification (MSP, Prince2, Agile etc.) – desirable requirement. Demonstrable ability to apply this flexibly and pragmatically within the organisational environment.
