Salary: Grade 3 - Starts at £25,713 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £26,703 per annum Please note that the above salary is based on working 37 hours per week. If this role is part-time or you are appointed on a part-time basis your salary will be prorated to reflect this. Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Devon and Cornwall or Dorset Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same grade.Type of employment: Permanent
To support the Force Head of Profession & Identification Officers with the administrative, clerical and technical tasks associated with all identification processes to achieve the efficient resolution of identification issues. The ID Coordinators will also have direct contact with both Victims and Witnesses involved in the Identification procedure. To also assist the Approved Persons in the operation of the Prisoner Electronic Imaging System for the Force.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the organisations Identification Team as an ID Co-Ordinator where you will be assisting the Identification Officers, and investigating officers with ID procedures and procedures.
Being able to identify a suspect is one of the most important parts of a criminal investigation and that is why you will quickly become a key part of protecting communities and bring offenders to justice.
The role will be based out of Plymouth/Exeter and your main responsibilities will be assisting the Identification Officer with ID parades, the circulation of images through ID sought and chaperoning witnesses.

Selection Stage:
The selection for this role will consist of Shortlisting, Interview.
Applications will be anonymised and then shortlisted by the shortlisting panel. Following the shortlisting you will be notified of the recruitment decision via email along with feedback on your application.
If successful, you will then be invited to an interview. This will be based on the Competency Values Framework at Level 1, 2 or 3 as detailed in the role profile/job description and additional CVF document.
The interview process is due to take place week commencing 8 December 2025.
