This role will require the post holder to travel to an alternative location on a regular basis to undertake the role. Journeys to the alternative location will be considered to be commuting journeys and so will need to be undertaken in own time at own expenses.

Starts at £30,783 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £33,915 per annum

The above salary is based on a full time (37 hour) salary. If you are successful in a part time role this will be pro-rata'd to reflect your working hours.

Please note: Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same grade.

To work between the Local Criminal Justice Board (LCJB) manager and the Serious Violence Programme Director and Project Manager to support the delivery of both LCJB activity and the Serious Violence Prevention Programme of work. Working in line with Prince 2 or similar project methodology through the implementation of all specialist guidance and procedures that adhere to project governance, methodologies and standards, whilst providing additional high-quality project support.

Create, monitor and update project documents, plans and logs to support delivery within time, cost and quality using agreed industry defined standard (e.g. Prince 2); Prepare well evidenced reports and utilise project mile-stones to act as a trigger for the Programme Director, and assist with planning expenditure and monitor of spend. 

Undertake project work to include supporting the commissioning of investigations or research, scoping work, production of costings, researching best practice and development of reports, providing recommendations and providing feedback.

Arrange, prepare documentation and attend project meetings to record actions/decisions. Take clear minutes in line with guidelines ensuring adherence to confidentiality. In a timely manner publish minutes ensuring appropriate protective markings. Manage information in line with governance processes maintaining an overview of emerging issues.
