A Static-Worker has little or no opportunity to work remotely as they need to carry out their work at a specific force premises, this could be for a number of reasons including the location of equipment.

Starts at £27,789 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £31,755 per annum

The above salary is based on a full time (37 hour) salary. If you are successful in a part time role this will be pro-rata'd to reflect your working hours.

Please note: Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same grade.

We welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.

This position is an internal secondment (or a Fixed Term Contract if currently  Agency staff working in Force), until 2026 and is open for applications from the wider policing family.  The end date of the secondment (or FTC) is linked to the return date of the substantial post holder.

The role of the Safer Schools and Communities Team is to provide a visible, accessible and 
familiar presence to young people in order to promote positive engagement, reduce 
victimisation of young people and reduce offending by young people. 
The SSCOs are responsible for delivering the core work of the SSCT; this includes education in 
schools on Force priorities, co-ordination and maintenance of restorative justice interventions; 
youth engagement, crime prevention and interventions. 
They provide specialist advice and support to neighbourhood police teams, schools and partner 
agencies aimed at reducing and preventing crime and anti-social behaviour.
