Safeguarding Referral Officer
The above salary is based on a full time (37 hour) salary. If you are successful in a part time role this will be pro-rata'd to reflect your working hours.

To accurately record all referrals concerning the safeguarding of children and vulnerable persons received in the SRU onto NICHE. To provide dedicated intelligence research in support of other functions within the Safeguarding Referral Unit and wider Police Public Protection Department – specifically with regard Child Protection, Domestic Abuse and Vulnerable Adult investigations.
To triage and process Public Protection Notifications received in the SRU and share these as appropriate with partner agencies. Duties will also include when reviewing incidents of Domestic Abuse, identifying victims requiring referral to MARAC and contact from the Domestic Abuse Advisors (previously IDVA).
To manage enquiries from any sources and offer administrative support to both the Police internal triage and other associated SRU processes.
