A Static-Worker has little or no opportunity to work remotely as they need to carry out their work at a specific force premises, this could be for a number of reasons including the location of equipment. 
This role will require the post holder to travel to alternative locations on an ad hoc basis to undertake the role, travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with force policy.

Starts at £40,950 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £45,546 per annum

The above salary is based on a full time (37 hour) salary. If you are successful in a part time role this will be pro-rata'd to reflect your working hours.

Please note: Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same grade.

The principal responsibility of the Contact & Resolution Command (CRC) Operations Manager is to hold day to day responsibility and command of resources across either the Force Contact Centre or Police Enquiry Offices, in order to support the delivery of high quality, customer-focused service to members of the Force, CRC and the public.

The role will be based within either the Police Enquiry Office or Force Contact Centre teams within the Contact & Resolution Command Dept.

Key responsibilities include:

First and second line management of staff within their designated area of responsibility, undertaking PDRs, attendance support initiatives, performance monitoring and support, training and development.

Provide specialist advice and coaching to the Supervisors and Managers in relation to the effective management of performance and meeting departmental service standards

Deliver the strategic direction set by SMT. Acting as a role model and promoting a positive culture to ensure satisfactory outcomes.

Utilise the full range of performance and other data available to identify opportunities for innovation and continued business improvement and performance.

Where systematic or procedural barriers are identified which prevent effective delivery of customer service or impact negatively on the health and wellbeing of teams, ensure the issues are addressed.

Identify critical levels of demand and provide subject knowledge expertise in relation to tactical options to be considered to mitigate risk.

Manage and review working practices regularly, to ensure consistent service offering and risk management Forcewide.

Ensure all teams are complaint with Force policy and Forcewide campaigns.

Deputise for appropriate SMT members, attending meetings to represent the function and be an ambassador for the service delivered.
