The above salary is based on a full time (37 hour) salary. If you are successful in a part time role this will be pro-rata'd to reflect your working hours.

PURPOSE
An opportunity has arisen to join our Police Road Safety Team where you will play a pivotal role in providing clerical support within the department.
Duties will include the processing of Notices of Intended Prosecution (NIPs), Officer Issued Tickets (OITs), including Fixed, Mobile, Red Light and Laser camera offences captured on film/video, together with the administration of the Driver Awareness Scheme (DAS) and Safe and Considerate Driving (SCD) courses. Responsibilities will also include preparation of information for presentation at court together with attending court as a witness as and when required.
This role will also involve dealing with incoming calls and correspondence from members of the public as well as working closely with police staff colleagues and officers within the organisation.
Administrative/clerical experience, to include the use of Microsoft Office applications is essential for the role, in addition to good customer service skills. The ability to work independently within the office environment and as part of a team is also key.
