Starts at £40,950 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £45,546 per annum

The above salary is based on a full time (37 hour) salary. If you are successful in a part time role this will be pro-rata'd to reflect your working hours.

Please note: Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same grade.

Devon and Cornwall Police are seeking an Energy Manager to manage, monitor and optimise the energy and water use across the Force area with the aim of supporting the delivery of our Sustainability objectives.

Responsibilities include energy and water bill validation in addition to undertaking financial management of £3m+ revenue energy related budgets, preparing budget proposals and forecasts. As the main point of contact for all energy and water matters, the role will also include providing advice, guidance, training and behaviour change campaigns on behalf of the Force. 

This brand-new role will sit within the Estates Team, and report to the Building Services Engineer, whilst liaising with the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, Head of Estates and the wider force executive.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline or be able to demonstrate relevant work experience at the appropriate technical and strategic level linked to sustainability, energy and water management, and carbon reduction and decarbonisation.

This is a hybrid role. It is a full-time role however part-time hours are also considered.
